All the Adorable Celebrity Babies Born in 2019

2019 was off to a very adorable start from the beginning of the year, with stars like Carrie Underwood, Andy Cohen, and Lily Aldridge among the first of the year to welcome tiny additions to their families. We always welcome some new celebrity babies, and we certainly have a lot more to look forward to this year: Meghan Markle, Kim Kardashian, Amy Schumer, Jessica Jones star Krysten Ritter, and Jessica Simpson are all expecting little ones over the course of the year as well.

We’ve rounded up all the celebrity babies born in 2019 (so far, at least) below. Scroll down for a whole lot of A-list-worthy cuteness.

Jacob Bryan Fisher

Country superstar Carrie Underwood and her husband, Mike Fisher, welcomed their second son on January 21. Little Jacob Bryan Fisher joins big brother Isaiah, age 3. “Our hearts are full, our eyes are tired and our lives are forever changed,” Underwood wrote on Instagram. “Life is good.”

Story Grey Jeter

Baseball legend Derek Jeter and his wife, Hannah, might not have officially announced their second pregnancy. However, Jeter’s company, The Players’ Tribune, did confirm the couple’s Jan. 31 arrival via Twitter: “Congratulations Derek and Hannah on the birth of your second baby girl, Story Grey Jeter. Welcome to the family, #2.” The Jeters also have a daughter named Bella, who was born in 2017.

Benjamin Allen Cohen

Andy Cohen welcomed his first child, born via surrogate, on Feb. 4. Benjamin Allen, measuring 9 lbs., 2oz. and 20 inches long, arrived at 6:35 P.M. PT. “WOW! This is my son, Benjamin Allen Cohen,” he wrote on Instagram. “… He is named after my grandfather Ben Allen. I’m in love. And speechless. And eternally grateful to an incredible surrogate. And I’m a dad. Wow. ♥️?”

Meghan Markle’s Having a Second Baby Shower—and Her Mom Will Be There

With Meghan Markle’s first royal baby due this spring, the Duchess of Sussex is reportedly squeezing in another baby shower after her Serena Williams-hosted party in New York City last month.

This time, as previously reported by royal reporter Omid Scobie, it’ll be located across the pond in England—and Meghan Markle’s mother, Doria Ragland, will be in attendance for this one too, according to Harper’s Bazaar. (Royal fans will remember she didn’t attend the state-side celebration.)

While Markle’s NYC baby shower at The Mark hotel had an A-list crowd of attendees (Amal Clooney, former Suits co-star Abigail Spencer, Gayle King), food prepared by Michelin-star chef Jean Georges Vongerichten, Martha Stewart Weddings prepared treats, and dozens and dozens of pink roses, this second gathering will have a remarkably different vibe.

This one might not be as all-out lavish, the Daily Mail reports—but it will be an intimate gathering. “Doria is coming to a baby shower here,” a source told the outlet. “It will be a small gathering of five or six people.”

We’re sure, however, that it will still be pretty amazing—after all, it’s being planned by royalty. Us Weekly, Meghan’s sister-in-law Kate Middleton is hosting the UK-located bash. It was originally planned to be held at Meghan and Prince Harry’s future mansion residence, Frogmore Cottage on Windsor Estate, but it’s still under renovation. Good thing the royals have a few party locations to choose from—and wherever it is, it’ll still be a special day.

Hollywood Celebrities on Being Child-Free by Choice

Some of us want kids; some of us don’t—and either of those two options are equally valid. Statistically, the most recent numbers show that more and more American women are having kids later in life, if they’re having them at all. In 2016, for example, only 62 babies were born per 1,000 women ages 15 to 44—the lowest the fertility rate has been since we started keeping track. But for women who choose not to have kids, it can feel like they’re fighting a cultural expectation, whether it’s through fending off annoying questions about when they’ll have kids or adopt with their S.O. or by fielding rude comments about how they’re bound to change their mind. But some celebrities who have opted to be child-free are using their platforms to speak out and help shift the cultural mind-set. Here’s what 14 of them have to say about their decision.

Everything Khloé Kardashian Has Said About the Tristan Thompson Cheating Scandal

If you haven’t heard about the Khloé Kardashian-Tristan Thompson-Jordyn Woods cheating scandal yet, there’s a lot going on (also, welcome back from whatever deserted island you escaped to). Basically, Thompson, who’s been caught cheating before, and Woods—Kylie Jenner’s now-former BFF—allegedly kissed at a house party. The details are still vague, but it’s safe to say that Kardashian isn’t thrilled about what happened. She’s talked about the situation on social media several times—either explicitly referencing it or being a little less direct with a caption or quote we can read between the lines of. Below, a comprehensive list of all the times she’s mentioned (or hinted at) the drama:

Times She’s Explicitly Talked About the Scandal

A week after this story broke, on February 26, she posted a thank-you to her supportive followers on Twitter: “Hi loves, wanted you to know that I appreciate you! ?? I’ve been reading your kind words and they really are a blessing to me. I love you! Thank you Thank you! I’ll be back when I’m in the mood to chat with you all. Until then remember to be kind to one another ?”

She also (very problematically) called out Woods on March 1 after the latter went on Jada Pinkett Smith’s Red Table Talk to share her side of the story. “Why are you lying @jordynwoods ?? If you’re going to try and save yourself by going public, INSTEAD OF CALLING ME PRIVATELY TO APOLOGIZE FIRST, at least be HONEST about your story. BTW, You ARE the reason my family broke up!”

She followed that up with some clarification. “Tristan is equally to blame but Tristan is the father of my child,” she tweeted. “Regardless of what he does to me I won’t do that to my daughter. He has been addressing this situation PRIVATELY. If Tristan were to lie publicly about what conspired, then yes I would address him publicly as well.”

Kardashian seems to have realized that didn’t quite hit the right note, either, and came back with another message on March 2: “This has been an awful week & I know everyone is sick of hearing about it all (as am I). I’m a rollercoaster of emotions & have said things I shouldn’t have. Honestly, Tristan cheating on me & humiliating me, wasn’t such a shock as the first time.”

She continued, laying the blame squarely on Thompson. “What’s been harder & more painful is being hurt by someone so close to me,” she tweeted. “Someone whom I love & treat like a little sister. But Jordyn is not to be blamed for the breakup of my family. This was Tristan’s fault.”

“I have to move on with my life & count my blessings, my family, my health, & my beautiful baby True,” she finished.

Times She Might Have Hinted At It

On February 19, she commented on a post from Hollywood Unlocked’s Instagram about the incident with several speaking-head emojis. Her friend Malika Haqq also commented with “HARD FACTS.” Fans at the time took this as Kardashian confirming the rumor.

Kardashian has also posted several quotes to Instagram Story that may or may not be about this situation. On March 16, she uploaded a quote about deciding you want better for yourself and never looking back:

But the most telling IG Story update came on February 21 when she posted these three quotes:

Two days later, she shared this quote saying it’s not our job to fix “fucked up” people.

Alongside messages addressing shame and resilience.

Kate Middleton Looks Beyond Regal in Her Alexander McQueen St. Patrick’s Day Outfit

While most of us are just getting St. Patrick’s Day started, the royals are, per usual, already one step ahead of us. On Sunday morning, Prince William and Kate Middleton honored the patron saint of Ireland with their annual visit to the 1st Battalion Irish Guards at Cavalry Barracks in Hounslow, England.

Middleton’s paid tribute to the holiday every year since 2012 with a festive outfit (except for 2016, when she stayed home with the kids before a trip to India). This year, she opted for a never-before-seen emerald coat that’s honestly fit for a princess. According to Twitter fan @KateMCambridge, it’s custom-made Alexander McQueen, which has long been a favorite go-to designer for the royal. She even wore the designer just three days ago at the National Portrait Gallery gala in London.

Here’s a closeup of the gorgeous coat:

As we all know, Kate’s a fan of recycling coats and outfits, so we’re sure this won’t be the last time we’ll see her in her gorgeous coat dress.

The duchess continued the annual tradition that Queen Alexandra started in 1901—and spent some quality time with the 1st Battalion Irish Guardsmen’s 7-year-old Irish wolfhound.

She accessorized the look with a matching floral fascinator, a shamrock brooch, and a pair of new Gianvito Rossi black Piper pumps. She also paired her chic chignon bun with last year’s green amethyst and tourmaline drop earrings from Kiki McDonough. Prince William, who’s a colonel of the Irish Guards, partook in this year’s festivities wearing his official uniform.

In 2018, Middleton handed out shamrocks at the parade to officers in a stunning single-breasted fur-trimmed Catherine Walker coat, a coat she’s frequently worn since 2014. In 2017, the Duchess celebrated the holiday in a different double-breasted fur-trimmed coat, also by Catherine Walker, and sipped on a Guinness.

Today wraps up a busy week for the Duchess: She also attended the Commonwealth Service at Westminster, the Henry Fawcett Children’s Centre, and the Portrait Gala this week. Being a royal, it’s fair to say, is thirsty work—and a pint of the black stuff is more than deserved. Sláinte!

Sephora’s Introducing Credit Cards—and They’ll Come With Perks

It’s finally happening: Sephora is launching credit cards for shoppers. Best of all? We don’t have that long to wait—the cards will be out this spring. Depending on your level of Sephora addiction, this could either be terrible or brilliant news, but we’re firmly on the latter side, especially now that we know all the perks the company’s building into these magical pieces of plastic.

Allure reports there’s not going to be one company credit card, but three: the Sephora Credit Card, Sephora Visa Credit Card, and Sephora Visa Signature Credit Card. They’re all seen as an extension of the company’s loyalty program and, according to a company statement, will be “taking our client experience to the next level through special access, rewards and perks.”

“The Sephora Credit Card was the natural next step in our loyalty journey, truly adding even more value that our clients can use not only within our stores, but also in their day-to-day lives,” Andrea Zaretsky, Sephora’s senior vice president of customer relations management and loyalty, said in the statement.

According to Allure, customers with the card will get bonus perks—what, specifically, these are is still TBD—in addition to those they get from already being in the Beauty Insider program.

As mentioned, the credit cards will make their debut in the spring, but some might have to wait a little longer than others to get one: They’ll be available in “select markets” first, Allure reports, and then expanding throughout the U.S. and online over time.

The company’s been on a roll lately: This announcement comes on the heels of Sephora reworking their Beauty Insider program to dish out more rewards to customers and allowing customers to use multiple discount codes when they check out online. More perks, more discounts, and now credit cards so we don’t have to wait until payday for that pedicure polish anymore? Into it.
