The Famous ‘King Kong Ain’t Got Shit On Me’ Line Was Improvised By Denzel Washington
There are few Denzel Washington lines as memorable as a defeated and bloody, yet cocky, Alonzo Harris yelling “King Kong ain’t got shit on me” at the end of Training Day, and a lot of that is thanks to the actor himself. In 2019, Vanity Fair published a list of the 25 best movie scenes of all time, which, no surprise here, included the iconic Training Day moment.
When speaking about the line and delivery, Antoine Fuqua revealed that Washington, who won his second Academy Award for his performance, came up with the line in the heat of the moment while filming the scene. After it was all said and done, Fuqua said he looked at the cameraman and said he hoped he got that because it probably wasn’t going to happen again. Luckily for everyone, he got it.
Kevin Hart will lead a film called Lift set to be helmed by F. Gary Gray, who also directed movies like Straight Outta Compton, The Italian Job and Set It Off. The action movie was picked up by Netflix last year, but now it will be part of Hart’s ongoing business with the streaming service that just keeps giving. Lift will see Hart playing an expert thief who is asked to pull off an “impossible heist” during an international flight at the request of his ex-girlfriend and the FBI, per Deadline.
Despite these responses, some fans are still holding out hope that Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock will factor into Spider-Man 3. So, maybe those forearms were his? Bringing in the Netflix character into the MCU would be a massive moment for most Marvel fans. SeeingDaredevil fighting alongside Peter Parker would be great for the big screen. It wouldn’t be too far off since the two characters already interact regularly in the comics. Cox may be tight-lipped due to Marvel’s CIA-level security, which leads to more rumors about his involvement.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife – November 11, 2021 (Completed)
Like many, the one film I always remember Bill Murray from is the original Ghostbusters. And, now, nearly forty years later, Bill Murray is going to reprise his iconic role in another sequel to that classic movie, titled Ghostbusters: Afterlife.
While Murray is set to join the other stars, the Ghostbusters: Afterlife cast is already full of a lot of talent, including actors like Paul Rudd, Finn Wolfhard from Stranger Things, McKenna Grace from Malignant, and so many others.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife is set to follow the story of a single mother and her family who were evicted from their home, and they are all forced to move into a decaying farmhouse in Summerville, Ohio, left to them by their grandfather, where a series of unexplained earthquakes are happening, despite there not being any fault lines there.
Murry actually talked about the upcoming film with Vanity Fair, and how his character and the rest remaining from the original title are going to fit into the upcoming story with a new generation of Ghostbusters.
It’s been revealed that the premise of the movie will take its characters several years into the future from the Crimes of Grindelwald, take place between Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and Berlin, Germany ,and lead up to the Wizarding World’s involvement in World War II. Dumbledore will apparently be entrusting Newt and his team on a mission that will put them in conflict with Grindelwald’s growing army. Dumbledore will have to step up and take a larger role in the war afoot. Some fans reacted to the synopsis:
After all of this talk about Dan Stevens playing a romantic robot who speaks perfect German with an English accent, you probably want to hear some of the finished product from I’m Your Man. That’s natural, as even his eccentric performance in Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga can’t prepare you for what you might feel in viewing this very human film. Well, you can get a taste of what’s in store, thanks to the I’m Your Man trailer, included below:
For some viewers, it might be quite uncomfortable seeing a nude Daniel Craig repeatedly on the big screen. Others will probably enjoy staring at Craig’s chiseled body for his final Bond outing. At least, the actor was the one who chose to display his body. Oftentimes, Craig’s female co-stars must either bare all or wear revealing or little clothing in most scenes. His tenure did somewhat change that troupe with some usual dynamics still intact.
According to the young actress, there are a lot of awesome practical stunts going down in Firestarter. The movie was directed by a fairly new filmmaker, Keith Thomas, who previously made a horror film called The Vigil in 2019. Armstrong sounds like she’s super confident about Firestarter, and getting to work with Zac Efron was a massive highlight. She praised the actor for his character and hard work on the project. She also referenced the 1984 film as well, saying:
