Chrissy Teigen and John Legend do everything together—except, apparently, watch Game of Thrones. It turns out Legend is a hardcore fan of the hit HBO show, but Teigen’s never seen an episode. This created some hilarious drama last night before the GoT season eight premiere, when Teigen wanted to crash the viewing party Legend was throwing with his friend, Mike Rosenthal, but they were not having it.
“I’ve been looking forward to this for two years. Don’t take this from me,” Rosenthal said to his wife, Jenna Atkin, and Teigen, who were both disappointed the boys were excluding them from their party. “You’re gonna ruin it.”
Legend and Rosenthal were so adamant about Teigen and Atkin not ruining their GoT fun that they locked them out of the screening room. But of course this didn’t stop them from finding their way in: Teigen used a pair of scissors to trick the lock on the door. She documented the entire ordeal on Instagram Stories and Twitter, and the videos are hilarious. Check them out for yourself, below.
“The boys locked us out. They won’t let us watch #GoT because we talk too much,” Teigen tweeted.
When a fan suggested she should give GoT a chance, Teigen replied, “I ask too many questions in much simpler shows so John suggests I avoid GoT. For his sake.” Rude! Now I want Chrissy Teigen to become a Thrones expert just to stick it to Legend.
Teigen was tweeting up a storm about GoT last night even though she doesn’t watch. “You guys really fucking love Game of Thrones, which is great,” she tweeted. “It is great to love things. I honestly thought it was the last episode ever or something, I’ve never seen humans so collectively excited. I am happy for you. I really am. Excited to find my Game of Thrones one day.”
She continued, “Homeland and The Handmaids Tale are the closest I’ve gotten to my personal Game of Thrones. I get excited to watch those (aside from anything Bravo, of course).
