It appears that Kendall Jenner has officially broken up with her NBA star boyfriend, as is the family tradition. Sources told Entertainment Tonight and E! News that Jenner and Devin Booker ended their relationship after two years—but the possibility of getting back together is not off the table. (Don’t judge, you know you’ve taken your ex back more than once, too.)
“Kendall feels like they’re on different paths,” one unnamed source told ET, while another agreed the couple were “not on the same page.”
E!‘s anonymous source explained that while the couple had a “really nice time” at Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker’s wedding in Italy, when they got back they realized their lifestyles may be too different to make it work—for now. The source said that Jenner asked for “space,” but “They have been in touch since and do care about one another.”
They added, “They both hope to make it work, but as of now, they are split.”
This is actually a surprising amount of detail considering how rarely either Kendall Jenner or Booker opened up publicly about their relationship in the two years they were together. We got the rare mirror selfie on Instagram and confirmation that Jenner goes to all of her man’s NBA games, but in general, they didn’t tend to overshare. Still, it was obvious that the two were serious from the little they did open up. Like when Jenner offered the cute tidbit that her niece Stormi has a “crush” on Booker in a 2021 interview with Jimmy Fallon, or when Booker told WSJ Magazine that being in the spotlight hadn’t put too much stress on the relationship.
There may still be hope for these two kids to work it out in the future. But if not, perhaps Jenner will follow her older sisters’ leads again and find herself an Adult Dirtbag of her very own.
