Taylor Swift‘s sixth studio album, Reputation, was only nominated in one category at the 2019 Grammys. (It lost early in the evening, to Ariana Grande’s Sweetner.) That didn’t stop the singer from enjoying her Sunday, however—in fact, she still found a reason to wear a red carpet dress.
Swift chose to spend her award show Sunday across the pond in London, attending after parties for the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards, or the BAFTAs. She was there to celebrate The Favorite, which boyfriend Joe Alwyn appears in. (Kate Middleton was in attendance, too.) Though she didn’t walk the red carpet, we know she wore a stunning white gown… How? Well, she shared a glamorous, behind-the-scenes update herself on Instagram.
“AHHHHH @thefavouritemovie just won 7 @bafta awards !!! Bout to go give some high fives,” Swift wrote. “Thanks @stellamccartney for this dresss.”
You might remember Stella McCartney as the British label also responsible for designing Meghan Markle’s second wedding dress. Swift’s BAFTA gown featured a plunging neckline and a tulle skirt—almost reminiscent of her Fearless era. She accessorized with Rupert Sanderson shoes and Delfina Delettrez jewelry.
It’s not the first time Swift has showed up to support Alwyn’s awards season run: In January, she snuck into the Golden Globes to present an award, and stuck around for an after party. She wore a black Versace gown on that occasion.
With the Oscars two weeks away, we have reason to believe that Swift will make another subtle appearance at the ceremony. (The Favourite is nominated yet again for several awards.) Fingers are crossed she walks the red carpet next time—her recent fashion choices, and unbothered attitude, belong in the spotlight.
